Immersion of Yes, Your Grace
This game has been on my Steam Wishlist for over months and finally got the chance to play the game. This has beautiful 2D pixel artwork which enables it to stand out from its competitors thus making its background and character design more unique. But the main crux of the game is its story and gameplay in you are King trying to manage a kingdom, a family and a bear from its various problems and enemies who are too horny towards your daughters with the good news being able to channel your inner dad spirit to beat them for wanting your daughters or sacrifice them for power like Thanos. This game has similar vibes to telltale games where each choice has consequences but with a government simulation as you try to keep the people in your kingdom happy to increase tax revenue.
What got me immersed in this game was mainly its cast of characters and the plot of the game which was structured in a way that you are the audience and the playwright as you control the king's choices and witness the effect of those choices. The major characters in this interactive play are your family and various lords filled with personalities that you grow to love or hate. My favourite character in this play is Cedani, the youngest daughter who likes all kinds of pets ranging from tiny snails to a small grizzly bear. She is the most wholesome character kind of like Anya from Spy X Family but an actual princess. The moment in the game makes you feel intense as you brainstorm each choice, and the impact of those choices makes you instantly regret it like when trying to do a ritual to gain a boy due to patriarchy where I messed up the ritual so badly that my wife and the unborn child are dead. The environment of the game also makes it even more immersive by making it 2D it forms the castle as multiple stages of a theatre.
With this in mind, I am excited for its sequel that has been announced and hope it outperforms the original but overall I would personally recommend this to anyone as its story keeps you entertained and along with its art being fabulous.
